NSBE FRCs combine STEM education, competitions, workshops, networking and internship opportunities in one location. The Fall Regional Conference brings NSBE to our chapter by giving our students the chance to meet Black engineers and STEM professionals from our regional community. They also give Middle School students a chance to practice their leadership skills and allow HS & college students to find local internship & job opportunities and are ideal for local employers looking to recruit top talent.

FRC: Ignite Your STEM Flame!
The purpose of NSBE’s Annual Fall Regional Conference (FRC) is to further strengthen the foundation and stoke the passion for engineering & STEM innovation. Our region of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Region II, consists 95 chapters: 25 NSBE Professionals, 50 collegiate and 20 NSBE Jr. It’s expected that more than 800 of our members to attend this year’s FRC in Bethesda, MD!
The FRC is especially vital to our pre-college students to keep them motivated in pursuing a major in engineering & STEM and allows them to experience the inspiration that comes from a gathering of more than 800 Black Engineers. At FRC, PCI students are energized & engaged in STEM activities made just for them!

DMV NSBE, Jr. is planning on attending Fall Regional Conference this year, however it's dependent on the number of teams (and families) interested in attending & competing. Unlike attending the National Convention which is mandatory for all DMV NSBE, Jr. members, attendance & participation at FRC is optional - however, it's a great way to prepare our teams for Nationals as well as meet other chapters from our region. Space is limited & Region II's FRC sells out each year. We encourage interested teams to inform your chapter advisors ASAP so that you can sign up early to secure your spot!
